It’s Ashley, the owner and photographer at Haven Hill Studios, and I am beyond excited to share with you the most enchanting wedding I had the pleasure of capturing on May 11, 2024. This wedding was a true testament to the power of love, family, and the beauty that can be found in the most unexpected places — Like grandma’s front yard.

The day started at Grandma’s house, a place that felt like stepping into a fairytale. As I arrived, I was greeted by the bride, groom, and their closest friends and family, all buzzing with excitement and anticipation. Grandma’s front yard was a sight to behold, with its lush garden beds, archways, and timeless front porch swing hanging from a large tree… all of this was enclosed by a charming white picket fence. (It sounds dreamy doesn’t it?! It was!)

The air was filled with laughter and joy as the bride and groom got ready surrounded by their loved ones. Grandma’s house provided the perfect backdrop for many of their photos. The rooms were filled with warmth, nostalgia, & charm creating an atmosphere that was both comforting and magical.

But the true highlight of the day was the historic chapel next door to Grandma’s house. This quaint chapel, owned by Grandma herself, became the sacred space where the couple exchanged their vows. The love between the couple radiated, filling every corner of the chapel with warmth and happiness.

Throughout the day, I witnessed countless moments that touched my heart. There were so many smiles, hugs, and laughs… it was evident that this couple had a profound impact on everyone around them. Their kindness and genuine love for one another AND those around them is truly inspiring. They had a way of lighting up a room with their infectious smiles and their hearts of gold.

As the sun began to set, we made our way to the Mill Bottom in Jefferson City, Missouri, for the reception. The venue was the perfect blend of historic charm and modern elegance, providing a stunning backdrop for the celebration. The evening was filled with laughter, dancing, and heartfelt toasts, creating memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.

Looking back on this wedding, I am reminded of the power of love and the magic that can be found in the simplest of places. Grandma’s house, with its whimsical garden and historic chapel, became the setting for a love story that will be remembered for generations to come. It was a day filled with sweetness, kindness, and moments that truly blessed my heart.
